Dear Reader,
If you're reading this, you must have been tinkering around the website! While you're here, I'd like to share a quick story of why the in10s Games exists at all. šš½āāļø
My name is Jana (or some call me 'Boo', because I am from Cebu), and I've been surrounded by sports my whole life (I was literally named after a Czechoslovakian tennis player š).
So yes, as you can guess, I grew up playing tennis. š¾
And because of this, I've had the privilege of learning about the world through games.
Hours of practice on court taught me about discipline and patience.
Losing matches taught me about humility and grit.
Winning taught me what it feels like to believe in yourself.
And the friendships made showed me what community feels like.
All these emotions, lessons and values, learned from games!
Iāve always been fascinated by how games can do two powerful things:
First, games change us.
When you play ā really playĀ āĀ you become someone else.
Not the version of you at work, at school, or at home.
But the version that really fights and goes all in. š„
On the court, you become a warrior.
Another version of you is given a chance to come alive.
And in my opinion, everyone deserves to unleash that part of themselves that just lets loose and is different.
Second, games bring people together.
When the whistle blows or the ball is in the air, age, background, and titles fade away.
Honestly, the game doesnāt care how expensive your shoes are, who coached you, or where you came from.
All it sees is a ball in play and a point to win.
All thatās left out there are players and opponents.
All Equals. š
In a world that often feels divided (especially now with social media š«£), we need spaces where everyone stands on equal ground and where we can connect, compete and simply enjoy each other's company.
Truly, thatās where this all came from: a love for the game, and what it could awaken in each of us.
I decided to embark on this exciting (and scary!) journey of creating this brand simply to invite people to to Play Different āĀ not the way they normally would in a regular game or tournament. š¤
My hope is that all players will show up not just to win, but to make new friendships or strengthen old ones, compete with a team for a larger purpose, and in the process, unlock an in10s part of themselves they didn't know they had.
If you've made it this far down the story, thank you! It's been a pleasure narrating this to you. š
I hope you stick around.
See you on the court!
- Jana
